American Idol judge Nicki Minaj tells pal Lil Wayne to not watch the show
While Minaj and Lil Wayne are known to be good friends, the rapper shares that he's never seen the show due to Minaj's advice
Nicki Minaj, who snagged a coveted spot on the American Idol judge's panel, supposedly told close friend Lil Wayne to not watch the reality singing competition.
CBS News reports that, when asked about the show, he responded, Actually, I've never watched it. The talent on that is pretty good I heard, though.
According to MTV.com, the rapper recently said, When I talk to her she always tells me, `You don't wanna watch that, you're not going to be into it.'"
While to some fans Minaj's words may seem odd, the rapper continued, She knows me. ... It's kind of like a cat-fight where they be going back and forth type of thing, I'm not into all that."
Indeed, rumors of the Starships singer and fellow judge Mariah Carey feuding have been circulating ever since the auditions began months ago. While many speculated that the constant arguments were fabricated for television, host Ryan Seacrest shared that none of it is scripted.
Seacrest explained, It's not manufactured. These are two very, very spirited, strong individual performers who've had a lot of success that aren't shy about their opinion regardless of what they may be about."
