Nicki Minaj, Ricky Martin do Pop Art for MAC Viva Glam Ad
Nicki Minaj and Ricky Martin pose in a pop art world for the newest MAC Viva Glam ad campaign for 2012.
The glamorous rapper and the Latin sensation seemed to many an unlikely duo for the ad. But the shot proves that Minaj and Martin make the perfect pair.
Against a 1980s-esque pop art background, Minaj poses on a red motorcycle wearing a hot pink latex dress, bubblegum pink hair, lime green eyeshadow, and (of course) MAC's new Viva Glam lipstick.
Martin poses next to the blinged-out rapper holding a gigantic MAC lipstick over his head. Martin wears a 50s-style black and white leather vest that shows off his intricate bicep tattoo.
The $14 lipsticks, titled Viva Glam Ricky and Viva Glam Nicki, go on sale in February and will benefit MAC's Viva Glam campaign that has raised $224 million for HIV/AIDS-related causes since 1994, reports the Daily Mail.

Famed photographer David La Chapelle was at the helm of the shoot, photographing the pair back in July at a shoot location in Miami.
The photograph has all the trappings of a La Chapelle piece - bright colors, sexual undertones, tongue-in-cheek themes, and A-list stars.
"Barbz, check out my #MACVivaGlam photo w/@ricky_martin on Facebook!" Minaj tweeted about the MAC ad. "Lipstick's out in Feb - buy 1 save a life!"
Martin responded with similar excitement: "My #MACVivaGlam photo w/ @nickiminaj is on Facebook now. Products out in Feb support the #MACAIDSFund. Kisses and more Kisses. What do u think of this campaign? #UNHATE #Bentton."
Minaj teamed up with MAC just last year to launch her "Pink Friday" lipstick. The item was a bestseller and flew off the shelves. It can now be found on eBay going for as much as $79.
MAC Viva Glam campaign has previously starred Lady Gaga and Cindy Lauper, Pam Anderson, and Christina Aguilera.
