Young Money rapper Nicki Minaj may have to start looking out for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) backlash after getting spotted decked out in fur while touring London this week.

The platinum-selling rapper got busted walking into her UK hotel in the controversial coat.

New York rapper Nicki Minaj was so not in the mood to deal with paparazzi on Tuesday. The eccentric entertainer, who usually has no issues interacting with photogs, tried her best to hide her beautiful face while entering her London hotel. Rocking some leopard print boots, a fur coat and purple pants, Nicki was ushered into the Corinthia Hotel by her security detail; the pop star managed to keep her face covered the entire time by pulling her jacket over her head. And something tells us that as soon as PETA sees that jacket, Nicki might really have a reason to cover her head. (RumorFix)

Just last month, R&B singer Rihanna caught PETA heat for rocking snake boots.

"Rihanna may not have a clue that snakes killed for boots are often nailed to a tree and skinned alive. Of course, they can't! go on Oprah to cry about it," said a PETA spokesperson, referring to the singer's recent appearance on Oprah Winfrey's talk show. "Wearing reptile skin is creepy and callous, and it makes her look even more out of touch. She and Lady Gaga seem so desperate to be freaks instead of recognized for their talents that you have to wonder if they realize that they are being laughed at." (Huffington Post)

Known for targeting high-profile celebrities, rap star Kanye West got the organization's attention last spring with his "Way Too Cold" track.

When PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment of Animals) learned of 'Ye's defiant lyrics, the animal rights group lashed into him with scathing words of their own. "What's draggin' on the floor is Kanye's reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings," said PETA's Senior Vice President Dan Mathews in a statement sent to XXLMag.com. "He's a great musician but doesn't seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes. We keep hoping that one day he'll find his heart and join evolved style icons--including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman--who have dropped animal skins." (XXL Mag)

Back in 2010, PETA also publicly went after Ye and ex-girlfriend Amber Rose for sporting furs at public events.

West apparently lives by his lyrics. The ethical dropout--who horrified voters in PETA's Worst-Dressed Celebrity competition last year--and his sleazy sidekick, Amber Rose, were snapped by paparazzi struttin! g around ! Paris in "the ugliest things," indeed. Both were wearing head-to-toe fur, and Amber refused to remove her full-length lynx coat during a show at Paris Men's Fashion Week. As PETA V.P. Dan Mathews so eloquently put it, "Kanye can't help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an award's show or a fashion show. He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo." (PETA)
