Perma eye-watering Nicki Minaj went for stripper chic in a red cutaway dress on American Idol.

The 30-year-old singer took attention away from her terrible roots and got all eyes looking a little more south from her barnet.

While some tweeters were shocked about the amount of flesh on show during the family programme - they should be used to her, she's always got them out - others rejoiced in her fine womanly figure.

This week poor former judge Paula Abdul sacked one minute from TV, back the next - makes a surprise return to the show.

At one point she told fellow judge Mariah Carey to, 'Simmer down, sir.'
