Nicki Minaj has expressed doubts that she will embark on a tour this year due to having too many other commitments and business ventures coming up in the next few months.

With her coveted spot on the American Idol judging panel, the launch of her new clothing line and a new branded drink and potential plans to begin work on a third album, the 'Super Bass' rapper is set up to have a pretty hectic 2013.

The rapper told MTV News: I don't think I can tour. She explained I really would love to, but I don't have the time. It's a lot.

Discussing plans for her new album, the 30-year-old expressed her excitement saying: I'm getting beats as we speak. I just haven't started writing, but that's my biggest priority at this point.

I'm in a place of now being super greatful and appreciative for everything, and I want to show that in everything that I do.

Nicki has joined the American Idol panel for the first time this year alongside fellow newcomers Mariah Carey, Keith Urban and veteran Randy Jackson.

Her antics on the show have hit the headlines on several occasssions as a heated argument between her and Mariah Carey was filmed when the two divas came to loggerheads followi! ng a row over a contestant.

Nicki also recently missed the first 15 minutes of a live show because she was reportedly stuck in traffic.

There has been speculation regarding the safety of her position on the panel, however a modest Minaj says that she has been a spectacular addition to the judging panel.
