Nicki Minaj song 'Marilyn Monroe' leaks online

Though Nicki Minaj is known for her skills in hip-hop as a rapper, a new tracked that leaked on the internet called "Marilyn Monroe" shows off Minaj's vulnerable side in a ballad.

The source of the leak is unclear and it has not been confirmed that the track appears on her upcoming sophomore album "Pink Fri! day: Rom an Reloaded," which is due out on April 3.

"Just call me blessed. If you can't handle my worst, you ain't getting my best. Is this how Marilyn Monroe felt? Must be how Marilyn Monroe felt," Minaj sings in the hook.

The song can be heard over at Spin magazine's website. The hip-hop artist released her latest music video "Stupid Hoe" on January 20.

The 28-year-old hip hop and pop star, known for her bright, colorful and often quirky outfits as well as her music, appears in the video in a patent leather and cheetah-print bodysuit, trapped in a cage. The video was reportedly banned from BET because of its explicit images.

"Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded" was initially due to be released on Valentine's Day but was pushed back to April 3. The album follows the 2010 release of her debut album, simply titled "Pink Friday," which contains the bonus track "Super Bass" and the song "Roman's Revenge." The latter features rapper Eminem and references Minaj's angry alter-ego, Roman Zolanski.

Minaj performed with Madonna and M.I.A. at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 5. M.I.A. caused minor controversy by sticking her middle finger at the camera while rapping her part in "Give Me All Your Luvin." Minaj and M.I.A. also appear in a video for the song.

In December, Minaj teamed up with Willow Smith in a song and video called "Fireball."
