Nicki was so pleased with this unexpected surprise that she took to her Twitter account, @NickiMinaj to express her excitement multiple times, including stating that she hopes the recorded footage ends up somewhere.

Not only that, but Ms. Minaj's former tour partner, Britney Spears, also gave her a special gift: a recorded message that was put on YouTube and Britney's official Facebook page. That came only a few days after the birthday of Ms. Spears herself, who turned 30 on December 2. Christina Aguilera, Britney's former co-star on "The Mickey Mouse Club," turns 31 on December 18.

Other celebrities enjoying December birthdays in a big way include Teri Hatcher, who celebrated her birthday on the same day as Nicki, December 8. Taylor kept it a little more low-key.
