Nicki hid behind her ginormous ring last week. (Bauer Griffin) Nicki Minaj has been sporting a heavy-looking chunk of diamond on her manicured left hand, meaning she's either engaged to her ex-fianc Safaree Samuels again or she's just hard up for attention.
Also, Justin Bieber sang for President Obama, Selena Gomez hosted the world's tamest party, and Florence Welch thought Katy Perry's imitation of her was "amazing."
Nicki Minaj might be engaged to her longtime boyfriend Safaree Samuels... this according to the ever-reliable MediaTakeOut.
Last week, Nicki was photographed deflecting the paparazzi flashbulbs with a very major diamond ring on her left ring finger. Sources claim that Samuels presented Minaj with a 10-carat rock worth $1 milliona significant improvement on the 2-carat ring he allegedly purchased for her some time ago.
Samuels, the gentleman who appears to be wearing a pearl necklace in the photo above, is perhaps best known for being the dude who recently lashed out at Cher on Twitter, calling her the B-word. He's also notable for having been involved in a couple of physical altercations in the past few years, including an incident where a suitcase made contact with Nicki's face.
Justin Bieber made it back from Mexico in time to perform at the Christmas in Washington concert at the National Building Museum on Sunday. Bieber, along with Cee Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson and The Band Perry, performed his songs "Mistletoe" and "Away in a Manger" before an audience that included the expertly-dressed First Family. Fans will have to wait 'til Friday to see him rock the President's world.

Katy Perry poked fun at a few of her superstar colleagues during her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, among them Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. Perry warbled her way through a spoof song called "The Dog Trial Is Over" while outfitted in a flowy, ethereal batwing dress.
Caught backstage at KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas, Welch admitted, "I haven't seen it yet! I've seen pictures!"
She seemed a good sport about the whole thing: "I think she looks amazing! I was like, 'Yeah, that's it! You've got the hair, the dress, everything.' ... I've heard she did a really amazing job, and I'm kind of honored."
Major Lazer has a new music video out, and it has pretty much all the elements of something great... meaning there's Diplo, a grandma who looks like she's spent the past 20 years smoking ciggies on t! he porch , and Jian sword dancing (you probably couldn't do it).
