Nicki Minaj revealed the very colorful art for her upcoming sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded on Thursday (March 1). Set against a splattered paint backdrop, the bleach blonde Minaj sports an alluring pout (and astronomically long lashes) and is covered in splashes of paint. The aesthetic is somewhat reminiscent of a scene from Nicki's recent visuals for "Stupid Hoe" video, or for 90s hip-hop fans, perhaps a throwback to Charli Baltimore's "Feel It" music video.

Nicki tweeted out the cover artwork earlier today and changed her Twitter skin to reflect the new look. "Pink Friday: ROMAN RELOADED | April 3rd | #AlbumCover#ItBangBang," she wrote. Fans quickly took to Twitter to share their thoughts, which was largely divided. While die-hard Barbz gushed over it with sentiments like "Album cover ... I think I just died" and "Love it", detractors weren't too impressed: "You look a mess boo LMAO" and "Why is album artwork so terrible lately?"

After her performance at the 2012 NBA All-Star Game, the ubiquitous rapper talked to MTV about her artistry and being fearless with it. "I guess I am pop culture just because what I'm doing seems to be popular. When people want to do what you're doing, it's kinda popular," she reasoned. "I don't ask girls to wear pink hair; they just do it. It's not about black or white; I think it's just a statement. It doesn't matter which color you are; it's just a statement of being fearless.

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is due out April 3rd.
