Nicki Minaj says that she plans on taking over Jay-Zs spot as a major mogul in the hip-hop world.

The 29-year-old performer is the cover girl for this months Allure magazine and reveals that she is not interested in only being recognised as a musician.

In fact, the Trinidad-born star has major aspirations outside of appearing on stage.

I never thought about music as just being the end-all, be-all, she told the publication. I always looked at it like a business, something that I could create an empire out of.

I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victorias Secret fashion show. He said, Congratulations on all your success. And I was like, Yeah, Im coming for you. Im coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.

Nicki also shared why she thinks she has such a broad fan base from eight-year-olds to adults.

I think as far as the younger demo is concerned, I play dress up-up, the outlandish singer said.

I also can put on a very cartoonish voice. So sometimes children may not know what Im saying, but they like the sound of it, and they think I sound like some weird character.

Although Nicki is often seen in very revealing garb, she revealed that it was difficult for her to keep her body in shape.

Im naturally petite, but I definitely struggle with keeping those extra pounds off, she shared. And I hate working out. I cant stand being on a treadmill. That mentally irks me. When I need to lose a few, I just cut out sugar and starch.
