ECHO Entertainment News: Rapper Nicki Minaj to play the Liverpool ECHO arena

RAPPER Nicki Minaj has announced she will play the ECHO Arena on October 24 this year.

Hot on the heels of two sold-out Hammersmith shows and a performance at Radio 1 Hackney Weekend, the multi-platinum selling singer has announced an eight-date tour taking in Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham, London, Sheffield and Cardiff.

Last year, her multi-platinum selling debut album Pink Friday notched up the most charted singles by any female rap album in Billboard history.

She also won Best Hip Hop Video at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards along with Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Album and Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Artist at the 2011 American Music Awards, and was recently nominated for three Grammys for Best New Artist, Best Rap Performance, and Best Rap Album.

Her second studio album, Pink Friday Roman Reloaded was released in April this year, going straight to number one in the UK charts.
