Young Money rap star Nicki Minaj's music may come with a parental advisory sticker, however, the platinum-selling femcee's "Marilyn Monroe" record recently won over the attention of some hometown New York kids.

To honor the late pop culture icon, Staten Island's PS22 Chorus rocked out with Minaj's record for a viral performance.

The ever impressive PS22 Chorus, a celebrated youth musical movement directed by Gregg Breinberg and comprised of an ever-changing group of 5th graders from a Public School in Staten Island. "This year will mark the 50th anniversary of the passing of one of the greatest American icons of all time, the stunningly beautiful and remarkably talented Marilyn Monroe. In her honor, the chorus decided to cover her tribute song by another brilliant talent, Nicki Minaj -- the appropriately titled "Marilyn Monroe". To make this dedication extra special, we invited last year's unforgettable star soloist Denise (who happened to be paying us a visit that afternoon) to help us out on the hook. The chorus gives a haunting performance and Denise shows us that she's only improved with time. We hope this rendition has Marilyn looking down and smiling.... Happy birthday Marilyn Monroe." - PS22 Chorus" (Soul Culture UK)

In recent years, the kids have put out various cover records and received some mainstream support.

Established in 2000, the PS22 chorus consists of 65 students from Public School 22 in Staten Island, New York. The chorus has been featured on Oprah and even the Academy Awards. Their YouTube page includes hundreds of performances of popular songs, some of which even featured the original artists. David Cook and Gym Class Heroes are among the acts that have performed with the kids. (Pop Crush)

The "Marilyn Monroe" record orginally leaked online in early February.

A new and unofficial track leaked to the web this week, in which the rapper appears to be channeling Barbie rather than her other male alter ego, Roman. The song is rumored to be titled "Marilyn Monroe" and features Minaj's sweeter, softer vocals instead of the rapid-fire rhymes we're accustomed to hearing from her. The song is likely unfinished, but this start certainly sounds promising. Minaj has a knack for straddling the line between hardcore rap fans and bubblegum pop lovers, with "Monroe" very clearly catering to the latter demo. (Billboard)

Two years ago, Minaj portrayed the late Monroe in an XXL Magazine cover feature.

Fans of Young Money (*crickets*) will be pleased to hear that rapper's Drake and Nicki Minaj have teamed up for the cover of XXL Magazine's May issue. The magazine's May issue will feature interviews with both Nicki and Drakre as well as a seductive, Marilyn Monroe inspired photo spread with Nicki Minaj. We at RefinedHype.com just had to give our take on the photo's that have the internet buzzing. (Refined Hype)
