Nicki Minaj was in DFW Sunday night to perform at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie. She was also supposed to make an appearance at Zouk nightclub for an after party. The owner of Zouk says Minaj was paid more than $30,000 for the appearance, but at the last minute didn't show.

From my understanding, she was outside, she had shown up, her security had done a walkthrough and she just decided not to come in, said Zouk spokesperson Matt Cislo.

The club says an outside promoter rented the venue for the event.

Zouk says it was given copies of a contract and money transfer signed between the promoter and Minaj's group called 'Pink Personality LLC'.

We looked at their contracts, the wire transfer, we had seen everything; that`s why we went through with the show, said Cislo.

Minaj sent out some tweets Sunday saying: "no after party tonight" and "shout out to the promoters who sold tickets under false pretenses"

Zouk says everything was legit on their end.

As soon as everyone found out she wasn`t showing up on Twitter they were messaging us, text message, emails, you know why are you putting on a fake show? Just gives us a bad rep, said Cislo.

Zouk plans to give refunds to any Minaj fans who bought tickets. We've reached out to Nicki Minaj's camp for comment. We haven't heard back.
