Nicki Minaj's 'Pound the Alarm' Video Is Like a Sexy Commercial for Trinidad
(VEVO)Nicki Minaj is working overtime to find new, inventive ways to showcase her bouncy bikini-ed body, y'all. The rapper's new Benny Boom-directed video is packed with jiggling, gyrating skin as per usual, but there's a twist: It was filmed in her homeland of Trinidad.
"Pound the Alarm" looks like it was crafted specifically to boost tourism to the tiny island nation, with its sweeping panoramic seashore shots and glimpses into the brightly-hued bash that is Carnival. Minaj sweeps through the streets in a red feathered costume that showcases her ample bosom (big surprise) before partying it up with a bevy of barely-dressed dancers. On Twitter, Minaj noted that the final scene was hard to shoot: "those were REAL fireworks that scared the living daylights out of me! Lmao. I was like "get me down!!!!!"
