Nicki Minaj was a bit harsh during last nights episode of American Idol, yelling at Burnell Taylor, Lazaro Arbos and Devin Velez to get off the stage. She offered some rather negative feedback to several other contestants as well. Amazingly, the competitors all seem to be mostly okay with Nickis judging style.

Youd think a talented singer might be a bit angry after getting yelled at by Nicki Minaj. But if the current batch of American Idol finalists do find the rapper-singer annoying, they manage to keep those opinions hushed up.After all, when approached backstage to dish onNickis frequently negative feedback, the competitiors seemed surprisingly cavalier about constantly having their performances r! ipped apart.

Devin Velez finds Nickis approach to judging amusing, telling E! that, She was probably upset that she was on time. Of course, this comment refers to Nickis penchant for showing up late to American Idol performances, a habit for which shes received a fair amount of criticism.

After being yelled off the stage by Nicki, Burnell Taylor admitted that the judge had a point. Im gonna tell you this wasnt our best. We all did badIts a lesson learned. He also tried to clarify what had looked like an attempt to throw the other members of his trio under the bus, saying that his reaction to the criticism stemmed from a huge sense of disappointment.

Angie Miller didnt comment on whether she disapproved of Nickis harsh judging style, but she did say that it was hard to hear the criticism. The most hurtful comment was that I wasnt being me, because I was. I would never go onstage not being me.

Are Nicki Minajs critiques valid? Or is it time for her to back off? Sound off in the comments section below!
