MANILA, Philippines - Nicki Minaj is officially the biggest diva in the American Idol limelight.
An article on Popcrush.com revealed that the outrageously dressed, lollipop-eating AI judge has raised many eyebrows with her chronic tardiness, sassiness, enormous posse and aversion to being photographed.
A source told Radar Online, Nicki has always been late. Even back during the audition phases she showed up anywhere from an hour or two past call time, pushing all of the auditions back and angering the other judges.
She has been late for a live taping and inconvenienced everyone from the judges to contestants during Hollywood week.
A source quoted in the Popcrush.com article fumed, Hollywood week was already miserable enough because! contestants had to wait in the auditorium and watch everyone audition one by one, with only an hour lunch break but Nicki didnt help matters.
After the lunch break one day, everyone was waiting to audition and the judges all showed up together two and a half hours late and it was because of Nicki. All of the families had to wait outside the holding room, so they didnt know what was going on that whole time until Nicki and her entourage finally showed up.
The source also added that Nicki had a terrible habit of never showing up before 11 am.
As if being late wasnt bad enough, she always had a huge entourage with her and was rude to the contestants and their families, refusing to talk with them. And she wouldnt allow anyone to take pictures of her, or with her, the source added.

Despite this diva attitude, AI followers revere Nicki as the best judge in the panel. Her spot-on advice and whip-cracking comments are appreciated by viewers who see her as a refreshing foil to the sugar-coating of some of the other judges.
Her crazy hairdos and absurd but adorable nicknames for contestants also add color to an American Idol that may be losing its magic after 12 seasons. With reports from Pia Ranada/Rappler.com
