Minaj makes 'Idol' prediction

'The Voice'/NBC

We didn't think it was possible, but we have become even more obsessed with NBC's "The Voice". MSN TV was invited to a press screening of the first blind auditions. It is almost unheard of, but every critic we talked to loved it! It's hard to criticize a good show!

Bing: More about 'The Voice'

We thought we would miss Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera, but we didn't. All in all, Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Shakira and Usher have amazing chemistry. Shakira and Usher almost feel like an upgrade from the previous coaches.

Our new girl crush is Shakira. She's incredibly humble, funny, relatable and charming (something we did not always ! see in Christina). Shakira handled the other coaches well and was always eloquent in finding ways to get people on her team. We also love that she made fun of Blake, although we're still not sure if Blake understood everything she said.

Usher pulled out the "I discovered Justin Bieber" card a lot (maybe too much). We do not like Justin Bieber, so that card might get old fast if Usher doesn't come up with something new. However, he's still Usher, and he might give Adam Levine some competition in the sexy department. We also loved that he always had his leg up on the chair.

The blind auditions were fresh and the storytelling of the contestants was fantastic. We laughed. We cried. We got frustrated when the Judges did not pick someone we thought was a talented singer. Although some people we feel were too talented to be overlooked, the judges were always motivational and helpful in their critique.

The talent is still as amazing as ever. Although we love "American Idol," it feels like it has not grown with the times. "The Voice" is going on its fourth season, but the contestants and the judges are still bringing a lot of creativity and freshness to it.
