Nicki Minaj Is Creating Her First Fragrance

Nicki Minaj has had an eventful week. With her second album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart, having to deal with drama surrounding alleged song leaks and then quitting Twitter, theleader of the Barbz sounds like she needs to catch her breath.

Yet according to WWD, metaphorically stopping to smell the roses is the last thing on the assiduous star's agenda. After signing a deal with Give Back Brands LLC to create her own scent, she'll be busy literally sniffing blooms. About her newest endeavor (she also has partnerships with MAC and OPI), Minaj said, "I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances...This is yet another extension of my creative expression." She also claims she'll keep fans in mind when designing the blend and bottle that will be available fall 2012.

Since there aren't any specifics on the fragrance, we can certainly have a little fun speculating. During an i nterview with Allure magazine in April 2011, the Starship celeb mentioned her love of Chlo, saying, "I'm really obsessed with it. It's my airport duty-free purchase whenever I'm flying." For those interested, the classic eau de parfum contains "top notes of pink peony, freesia, and lychee...midnotes of magnolia flower, lily of the valley and rose...a base of cedarwood, amber and honey." She also provided an additional hint, saying, "I like scents that feel summery, but have a va-va-voom [factor]. I want to smell like a sexy and confident woman, not like candy."
