Nicki Minaj returns to Twitter, announces date for 'Starships' video release

Nicki Minaj has returned to Twitter after taking nine days off of the social networking site.

The Super Bass singer/rapper exited Twitter in an angry fit when it was revealed that songs off of her album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded had been leaked by website Nicki Daily.

Minaj wrote And thats exactly why Im paying the barbz DUST right now! And deleting my twitter. Smdh dont cry 4 me argentina.

She added, "Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good fing bye."

Minaj has now returned to her 11 million followers, The Hollywood Reporter writes.

Her first tweet read, *salutes the nation of Pinkslam* *hugs the barbz* *kisses the barbz*

She then wrote, State of the Union: Dear Barbz, our nation will not be fully reinstated to 11 million for another few days as per @twitter. It takes time ;)

As soon as she was back, Minaj announced the date that her music video for Starships will be released. She also answered messages from her fans, and continued promoting her album.

While the album is currently on the Billboard 200 chart, it slipped from No. 3 to No. 6 this week, while on the Digital Songs chart, her single Starships dropped from No. 6 to No. 8.
