After sending heatwaves across the Internet last night (April 26) courtesy of her "Starships" music video, Nicki Minaj has reflected on its premiere and what the experience was like.
Aside from thanking the Hawaiin community, Minaj talked about the overall vibe behind shooting her eye-catching visual.
Nicki Minaj says filming the music video for her new single 'Starships' was an "enchanting" experience as she got to meet the people of Hawaii. The 'Super Bass' rapper shot her latest promo video on the island state earlier this year, and has revealed new details about the shoot following the video's premiere last night (26th April). "The people of Hawaii were so enchanting," Nicki tweeted to her fans last night after the unveiling on MTV. "And that mountain top was freezing. "The wind was blowing so hard (pauz) my ears hurt @ the end," the 'Beez In The Trap' star added. (Capital FM)

Nicki Minaj's video for 'Starships' is essentially the live action equivalent of the Sports Illustrated annual Swimsuit Issue. We see the buxom rapper cavorting around in a variety of bathing suits. Her body is banging, so she is not afraid to show it off. More power to her. The video is certainly a s! ignpost of summer, and not just because of Minaj's skimpy attire, as the singer splashes around in the ocean in the opening segment. She is wearing a pink (no surprise there!) bikini, showing off that curvy and enviable figure of hers. Her bootay is in full view, several times. After several delays, Nicki Minaj has finally narrowed down a date for her "Starships" video. The feel-good clip, directed by Anthony Mandler, is expected to premiere this week. "It's officially done today," Nicki told KISS FM in the U.K. "We just gotta now turn it in and then the networks will look and see if they have to take anything out. They give me such a hard time with my videos. They really do. ... But hopefully Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest." (Rap-Up)
