The 'Super Bass' rapper's performance saw 30,000 people descend on the US landmark - one of the world's busiest pedestrian intersections - on Friday night (06.04.12), stopping all traffic as she launched the new Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone in the US.
The performance also featured one of the world's largest LED displays as Nokia took over all of the hundreds of screens in the square.
Fans heard an exclusive remix of Nicki's track 'Starships' by DJ Doorly and were filmed to be included in the a Nokia music video for the track.
Nicki told MTV: ''All the fans that were in Times Square tonight will get to be in the video, which is gonna be super exciting for them to see themselves.
''I'm actually really interested in seeing it; I didn't really know how they were going to make it all happen.''
Nicki performed a short set, playing the original version of 'Starships',' Right By My Side' and 'Super Bass'.
