Nicki Minaj - Nicki Minaj Releasing Own Fragrance For 'barbs'

Nicki Minaj appears to be making strides in the music business, but she's also looking to break into the competitive beauty market by releasing her own fragrance. The Pink Friday rapper has already signed a deal with cosmetics giant M.A.C to launch a line of nail polishes and will now create her own fragrance, according to the Huffington Post.

In a press release, Minaj spoke of releasing the perfume for her fans, or 'Barbs', saying, ""I have always been a huge fan of great fragrances; this is yet another extension of my creative expression and I can't wait to share it with the world. I designed this scent and bottle with my Barbz in mind". Though it's unclear what the fragrance will smell like, it's probably safe to suggest it will reflect her over-the-top cartoonish personality and will certainly pack a punch. The Huffington Post predicts, "A combination of cotton candy, popcorn and strawberry shortcake with a top note of ridiculousness". Minaj's creation will join the likes of Justin Bieber, Britney Spears and Taylor Swift's fragrances on shelves, and it appears Nicki will have a little added celebrity competition. Madonna has revealed she has been working on a perfume for the last 15 years, but kept abandoning the project until she found the perfect scent. The hitmaker launched 'Truth of Dare' at an event in New York last week.
