We already know that Nicki Minaj is one tough cookie, I mean, you have to be to feud with one of the biggest names in the music industry, aka Mariah Carey, right? But will Nicki Minaj wind up being the tough judge this season on American Idol? Minaj makes us think that just may be the case!

E! ver since Simon Cowell left American Idol, the show has been struggling to find that tough judge season after season. Last season, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez were not tough at all on the contestants, and Randy is, well, Randy. Will we see a tough judge this season? Nicki Minaj said something recently that makes us think she may be a bit tough on the contestants.

During a press conference recently, Minaj recalled watching the show in the past, and there was one thing she did not enjoy: I didnt like when people would be overtly passive. Nicki went on to say about herself on the judging panel: Were here to do a job. I dont put someone through because of a great story or because theres something going on that may make people cry I didnt really have a problem saying no because were looking for the best of the best. It bothers me when someone says yes and they dont deserve it.

Thank the heavens that we will not see another Jennifer Lopez. While were not sure whether or not Nicki will be the toughest judge on the contestants, something tells us that Mariah Carey is not going to go easy on them either. Perhaps Keith Urban will be the nice judge this year while the girls are the mean ones? Now that would be a hoot!
